Free Screen Recorders
Screencast-o-Matic- Screencast-o-Matic is very userfriendly. There is a watermark, but it stays in the corner of your video. The best thing about this is that you do not have to download anything, but you can download it if you want to. There is a paid version for $15 per year, which is pretty cheap and for how little you pay per month, it's got quite a lot of features. The free version has a limit of 15 minutes per video though. It does work with your microphone, but if you want to record sound from your computer that's a paid feature.
Bandicam- Like Screencast-o-Matic, this has a free and paid version. You can record up to 10 minutes per video though. Bandicam has a small watermark too, but in the top corner of the video. The paid version of Bandicam costs $39 but it's a one time buy, meaning you don't have to pay monthly. This is an incredibly popular screen recorder.
eLectra- eLectra is a not as well known screen recorder but it's completely free and has NO watermark. Not much to say, but this is the screen recorder I use and haven't had any issues with it.
EZVid- EZVid is a free screen recorder with NO watermark, but also lets you edit.
QuickTime Player - This is usually built into Macs. (I don't know much about this, but if you have any additional information, please let me know!)
Paid Screen Recorders
Camtasia- Info to be added.
